Correct Care Solutions Food Production Supervisor in Littlefield, Texas


Our Food Production Supervisor performs food service work such as preparing adequate nutritional meals for residents and staff and ensuring all food is safe for consumption and all work areas are cleaned and sanitized; coordinates the food service resident worker program; and may provide supervision in the absence of the Food Service Manager.



  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.


  • At least one (1) year of cooking experience.

  • Two (2) years supervisory experience in food service production in facility, military, commercial, or institutional setting preferred.


  • None required.


  1. Reads and follows recipes and menu accordingly. Ensures all special dietary needs are met according to the menu. Has knowledge of proper food handling and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) procedures. Ensures food is not left at improper temperatures, prevents cross contamination of foods, and ensures a safe environment for the residents and staff.

  2. Follows cleaning schedule for all equipment and ensures equipment is in proper working order. Reports any equipment repairs immediately to the Food Service Manager.

  3. Follows proper sanitation practices such as daily cleaning and proper storage. Ensures that temperature sheets are completed daily and empty boxes and trash are removed throughout shift. Also follows the clean-as-you-go practice and is present when kitchen is inspected.

  4. Completes production and temperatures records for foods: Ensure that all records are correct and completed for each meal. Ensures temperatures are logged for each food item before leaving the main kitchen and proper temperatures are met and maintained.

  5. Prepares schedules, supervises, and trains food service resident workers.

  6. May provide supervision to the department in the absence of the Food Service Manager.

  7. Adheres to the infection control policy.

  8. Is sensitive to cultural diversity issues, treats residents as an individual, and considers the culture of the resident when providing care and treatment.

  9. Is knowledgeable about care and treatment needs of residents of different ages. Provides individualized care and treatment that is consistent with/sensitive to the age and life span developmental needs of each resident.

  10. Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.

  11. Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.

  12. Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.

  13. Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.

  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
