We are currently seeking a Kitchen Manager for our Feinberg Academy in Dallas. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for planning and providing clients with 3 well-balanced and nutritious meals for 50+ clients a day. The position oversees weekly Food Ordering process by reviewing order totals and making adjustments when necessary and assists facility directors with the hiring of cooks and yearly reviews.


•Assist facility directors with Food Service issues; i.e. Correcting sanitation issues, streamlining food production, Taste testing and Follow-ups

•Source, recommend and administer equipment purchases.

•Assist Adolescent Facilities by ensuring that Child Nutrition requirements are met in the state of Texas Managing the Child Nutrition Program; adhering to Texas Educational Department requirements; including trainings, workshops, and meetings to ensure good standing and continual funding.

•Administering food purchases through weekly price comparisons.

•Training cooks and food service employees and clients.



•A Degree from an accredited college, university or culinary program in nutrition

•Clinical Dietary Management, Servsafe, or Food Handlers Certification reqired.


•2 years of satisfactory, responsible, full-time experience in any Food Related areas in a management or administrative setting.

•Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff throughout the Phoenix House organization
