SUMMARY: Supervises fast food establishment including assisting in overseeing the day-to-day store operations of a small franchisee by performing and carrying out the following essential duties and responsibilities personally and/or through subordinate employees. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: T o perform this job successfully, the following essential duties and responsibilities are required to be carried out effectively and efficiently. Opens establishment and prepares store for daily operations, assigns registers and starting change funds for cashiers while maintaining chain-of-custody cash logs. Assists upper management in supervising work schedule for up to 15 employees and maintaining shifts; leads team members in carrying out daily tasks. Trains and develops team members ensuring their duties are carried out in accordance with their job description. Supervises and assists carrying and preparing food, supplies, equipment, and utensils to and from storage and work areas; sorts, refrigerates, freezes, defrosts, marinates, drains, and seasons various raw poultry, meat, and seafood, and other food products. Supervises and assists in operating, monitoring, and maintaining cooking appliances, machinery and equipment; maintaining food at proper temperatures; measures, weighs, mixes, washes, peels, cuts, and trims various ingredients and foods prepared, cooked, and served following approved company recipes. Participates and ensures team members greet and serve customers promptly; assist taking and preparing customer orders for dine-in, take-out, or drive-thru window; enters orders in cash register and collects money from restaurant sales. Monitors cashiers ensuring sales are recorded properly and change is issued correctly; provides change to cashiers as needed; maintains a minimum level of cash in registers; records, collects, and transfers excess cash from registers to the store s safe. Reviews financial transactions; authorizes, prepares, records, and documents management overrides, voided transactions, over rings, and customer refunds; maintains and stores these records for upper management. Ensures company policies and procedures are being followed by mentoring team members; ensures employees wear proper uniform and hair restraints and personal hygiene is kept; reports employees performance and any policy violations to upper management. Coordinates employee breaks and authorizes employee meal purchases and discounts. Ensures the day-to-day operations are running effectively and efficiently; assesses problems that affect the store s operations and develops and/or implements solutions; communicates issues and concerns to upper management in a timely manner to minimize the potential increase in costs such as equipment breakdown. Inspects facility, food and food preparation to ensure and maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations including food storage and proper food handling. Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints; ensures sufficient food products are prepared, and ready to be served at quality standards.
